Subhash Katte

Subhash Katte is a passionate of social innovation work, is founding Director & CEO of SSID. The SSID is established with his motive to empower knowledge, innovation, skills in crafting future of underprivileged rural population. His aim is at enabling children born into disadvantaged, BPL families to have access to opportunities & advanced technologies that make them productive, responsible knowledge lit citizens of the country.

Mr. Katte holds degree in Science-BSc; MSW-Master’s in Social Work and PGD in Journalism and Mass Communication. He brings to the organisation 37 years of enriched experience in leadership roles with National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune practiced in the areas of R & D Management Services and carries invaluable combination of competencies in Business Development; Project Management; HRD programs; Entrepreneur Development; Technology applications and Innovations operations; Science Outreach and Counselling; Events & facilitation Management of Exhibitions, Conferences, Lectures and coordination in International Collaborations; institutional Relations, Industrial liaison, Publicity and Public Relations; Interfacing and networking with institution; industry, academia and media.

With a vision of guiding individuals and organizations in making the world a better place, he believes in delivering sustainable developmental solutions through innovative approaches in improving the quality of lives of rural and disadvantaged group of society. He foresees role of SSID as one of the successful partners in providing right opportunities to create impactful social change among the grass root level people and in development of Skills-Knowledge ecosystem in the country. He comes from rural set-up, throughout his life and career he has been actively involved in societal services initiatives.

Sujata Katte

Sujata Katte brings 23 years professional entrepreneurial experience of imparting computer training and is associated in computer literacy activities since 1990. Sujata, a science graduate by qualification B.Sc and DCA-Diploma in Computer Application, began her computer teaching classes as hobby at home and transformed into an entrepreneur herself by establishing professional computer training institute “SYSTEM India Computer and Management Services” at Sakalnagar, in Pune in 1992, which provides Maharashtra State recognised –Certificate course in Information Technology (MS-CIT) a basic level computer skills development trainings as authorised learning centre of Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd;(MKCL)- an enterprise of Govt. of Maharashtra. During these period she is responsible for providing successful computer operations training to about 20000 + participants ranging from ( age 10 – 80 years )-school kids, college students, individuals, officials, men & women and every participants enjoying use of computer knowledge acquired in their day to day life. Her interaction has enabled in formation of active social & knowledge networking group, some of them are volunteering their knowledge sharing services in SSID projects.

Mangala Birajadar

Mangala Birajadar a Science Teacher by profession, carries 27 years of versatile teaching experience and is one of the expert training providers in science, maths and extra-curricular activities. As a part of after-school-programs, she is imparting skills development activities such as –preparation for MTS, NTS, Middle school scholarships, Chess, Midbrain memory, imagination & concentration. She is coordinator of Homi Bhabha young scientist program, Olympiads exams master trainer and resource person at YASHADA program of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. She is inspirer for children, students at all level and prepares them ready for competitive tests/examinations.

Mangala, possesses academic qualifications of BSc, Bed, DCA and is professionally certified coach and national arbiter in chess by all India chess federation, acquired PG Diploma in Memory Development & Psychoneurobic and Diploma in Value education & Spiritual science.

She is recipient of many professional Awards as Best Science Teacher by Local and state Government and best Chess Instructor by Raigad Chess Association, Panvel and New Mumbai. She represented government chess inter school tournaments at state level as an arbiter.

Mangala, with her creative mind is working to make education accessible to underprivileged children from low income group of society by providing informal education, developing study material with inspired quality education using BOOST ( Best-of-Out-Of-School) Learning approach – After-school-program. She aims to sensitize children, parents and communities on the importance of education and motivate them to send children to school.

Samir Shabade

Samir Shabade is a Post Graduate in Organic Chemistry (MSc.) from Pune University. Currently he is positioned as Associate Scientist in R&D Canter of Lupin Limited Pune, a leading Pharmaceutical company. He is involved in the process development and optimisation of various Drug Substances and carries more than 7 years of research and development experience and has US patent (Intellectual property) at his credit as Inventor. As part of Lupin’s career advancement initiative, he is pursuing studies for Ph.D degree.

He has passion of interacting with students for knowledge advancement by inspired lecture & hands-on-training in science experiments, demonstrations and has ability to teach in simplified way. He has developed exciting science quiz based self-study material in making the science and technology learning easy for the students. He likes to spares his holidays time with underprivileged kids in sharing his knowledge in sensitizing and in creating interest of science learning among young minds.

Nisha Daphal

Nisha Daphal is a Post Graduate in Commerce (M.Com,) by qualification with computer accounting background, brings 10 years of experience of Accounting and Office Administration in service Industry. As a Mother, she gives outmost importance to parental carer. She is social by nature and leads community level social and cultural events. Her special strength lies in Bal-Sanskar activities in nurturing values, ethos, and inculcate interactive skillsets among the kids and parents. She intent to contribute in Early Care and Education ( Awakening) program for the parents in rural set-up to provide quality child care, support families and share information and resources with the community to make a positive difference in the lives of children.

Sujata Hasarmani

Sujata Hasarmani is a BE in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech. from COEP, Pune. She brings more than 7 years of experience as a faculty of engineering. She emphasis on need to reform our education system of statutory examination based curriculum and aspires for introducing innovative concepts of teaching and learning. She aspires to enhance the integrated knowledge in grooming the personality of rural students at school level. Therefore, she wishes to closely associate in educational transformation activities missioned by SSID, emphasising on access to vocational courses and industrial internships under Skill Development programme in PPP model.

Omprasad Katte

Omprasad Katte is Post Graduate Commerce student – (M.Com. second year). He is actively participated in college & University level in social and cultural events and represented at university level National social service camps organised in villages with projects of rural development. He represented college at national conference organised by Red Cross Society of India. He has keen interest of practicing social innovation in generation of local level rural employment, by empowering applications of technologies for clean drinking water, solar energy as alternative energy source and skills development trainings in service sectors of agriculture equipment’s , electrical motor rewinding , mobile & TV Repairing and e-governances etc.

Laxman Vyavahare

Laxman Vyavahare a young volunteering mind leads publicity and communication portfolio of SSID. Coming from rural background, had taken vocational trainings in Desk-Top-Publishing and obtained Diploma in Computer Programming. He is professionally qualified Graphic Designer brings with him computer aided skill-sets of designing and development of conceptual thematic layouts, visuals for hoardings and publicity materials for corporate, social & media communications using CorelDraw, Photoshop CS, Illustrator, Page Maker, Adobe Distiller, Adobe Professional, Acrobat Reader. & M.S.Office, Devnagari -Shri-Lipi and has sound knowledge of printing & publications related software’s. He brings with him more than 15 years of experience of working as Graphic Designer with Kalayani Corporation –one of the reputed printing and publishing company in Pune. He likes to impart practical Computer aided in DTP and conduct Drawing & Art short workshops for the benefit of deserving rural students.

Dr. Prakash P. Wadgaonkar

Dr. Prakash P. Wadgaonkar is a Chief Scientist at CSIR- National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, brings 33 years of Research and Development experience in Polymer Science. Subsequent to his obtaining MSc (1979) from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, he joined NCL, Pune and completed his PhD in 1985. He is a productive scientist contributing to the areas of controlled polymerization methods, high performance polymers, monomers and polymers from renewable resources, polymers for optoelectronics, associating polymers, etc.

Dr Wadgaonkar is a Fellow of Maharashtra Academy of Sciences and is a recipient of many awards and honors such as NCL Research Foundation ‘Scientist-of-the-Year’ Award (2013-14), Prof. M. Santappa Silver Jubilee Award in Polymer Science for the Year 2006 by the Society For Polymer Science (SPS), India, Prof. Sukumar Maiti Polymer Award Foundation, CSIR Technology Award 2003 for THPE Process: Team Member, Dunlop Award for the Best Research in the Area of Rubber Chemistry and Technology, Instituted by M/s Indian Rubber Manufacturers’ Research Association (IRMRA), Mumbai.

He was invited as a Visiting Scientist, ESPCI, Paris, France, General Electric Corporate Research and Development, Niskayuna, New York State, USA, Research Scientist, J&K Environmental Limited, UCCB, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, Research Associate, Department of Chemistry, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA, Visiting Professor, Institute of Charles Gerhard, Montpellier, France and University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, France. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of Green Materials and Journal of Polymeric Materials. Dr. Wadgaonkar has servedas a Member of the Senate, Solapur University, Solapur, Member of Board of Studies of several Universities. He worked on various Committees as member of Intellectual Property Rights Committee, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Advisory Committee, Centre of Excellence in Polymers, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Governing Body of Vishwakarma College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Pune, Research Advisory Committee, Walchand College, Solapur, Advisory Board, Suyash Gurukul, Solapur, Advisory Committee, Horizon Discovery Academy, Nanded, and so on.

Dr. Wadgaonkar was consultant to industries which includes: John F. Welch Technology Centre (General Electric Company, USA), Bangalore (2005), ABR Organics Limited, Hyderabad (2007), Hemani Intermediates, Limited, Vapi, Gujarath (2008), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderabad (2008), Galaxy Surfactants, Mumbai (2010), M/s Deepak Novochem, Pune (2013), TraspekSilox, Baroda (2013)

He has to his credit more than 170 research publications in reputed scientific journals and 16 international and 2 Indian patents. He has supervised 9 PhD scholars and currently 12 students are working for PhD under his supervision.

He is an active member of Exciting Science Group of Science Outreach Program, NCL, Pune. Dr. Wadgaonkar comes from rural part of Maharashtra and has keen interest in providing quality education and promotes rural youth to take up a career in science, research and technology innovation, thus contributing to building the Science and Technology ecosystem in India.

Prof. Dr. Sharad Pasale

Prof. Dr. Sharad Pasale a young researcher and faculty by profession, coming from rural background, is currently positioned as a Assistant Professor ( Chemistry ) at Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s S M Joshi College, Hadapsar, Pune.

Prof Pasale had excellent academic career, obtained his PhD in Chemistry from University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy in 2014 ; M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry) from Maulana Azad Research Center of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in 2006 and B.Sc. (Chemistry) from Dayanand College Solapur, Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2004. After his higher studies (MSc & PhD) he was working at National Chemical Laboratory, CSIR, Pune as Research Associate. He had research collaboration with Oxford University during his PhD time and visited 14 European/ Asian countries.

Dr Pasale is recipient of many awards, professional and social recognitions which includes Poster and Oral presentation awards , International research fellowship, First rank at PG Canter, published more than 8 scientific publications in reputed international journals, Best College Student Award at degree College and honoured as Senior Under Officer Rank by 38 MAH Batallion, NCC cadet at Solapur during 2003-04. He participated in numerous international and national scientific conferences. As a motivator Prof. Pasale has established strong interactions with deserving Schools , colleges and is associated in promoting science education and sharing perspective knowledge at inspiring forums organised in academic institutions in rural areas. His series of science popularization lectures were broadcasted on All India Redio. With SSID’s Inspiring programs Prof Pasale will lead the Knowledge sharing activities of Science education, research and technology with deserving schools and colleges.

Shri Anant Gade

Shri Anant Gade a multifaceted personality, is Architectural Consultant and Counselling Advisor by profession. He brings 28 years of experience in Planning of Construction projects, Project Management, Construction Management, Quality Assurance, Contract Management and evaluation of the project. Skilled in executing and spearheading construction of high value projects involving planning, ensuring the Quality Standards and overseeing the entire engineering systems in implementing cost saving measures. He is registered as VALUER with C.C.I.T. for Properties under Wealth Tax Act.

He has acquired numerous qualifications of DCE, B.E.(civil), M.B.A., M.A.(Sociology) LL.M. in Intellectual Property Rights, P.G.Diploma in Counseling and Guidance, PG.D. in HRD, PG.D. in Valuation, PG.D.in Environment Science.; G.D.in Co-Operation and Accountancy, PG.D. in Industrial Safety and Safety Management.

Shri Gade has excellent communication & interpersonal skills with strong analytical, team building, problem solving and organizational abilities . He is active Counselling practitioner as a Director of Amplify Mind-space ( a professional firm founded by him with the aim of Counselling of Students and people of all age groups). He provides Guidance to the needy students who learn to prepare for NATA and seek the admission to 5 year degree course in Architecture. He is visiting guest Lecturer in Environmental Science in Rajarshi Shahu College, Kesharbai Kale Girls College of C.S. & I.T., Latur, Shivaji Junior Science College, Latur, Maharshtra College of Interior and Fashion Designing, and other reputed educational Institutions all over Marathwada Region. He was consultant for ROUND TABLE INDIA for the rehabilitation work in post earth-quake days in Marathwada region and Rain Water Harvesting Projects implemented in Renapur Taluka, sponsered by CAPART and was co-ordinator for Water-shade Development Projects in Latur and Osmanabad Districts. He actively participate always in various social Programmes of Blood Donations, Farmers Training, Labour Training, Social foresting events conducted by Lions Club and Rotary Club. He is fond of knowledge sharing interactive sessions for the benefit of underprivileged youth from grass root level community.
